If a company issues bonds, they will have to pay back the purchaser of the bonds at a later time. Those bonds are thus listed as liabilities on the company’s balance sheet. What are some examples of liabilities?

You can see how the book value (equity) of their business is based on known quantities like the value of assets and the size of debts. The cash (asset) of the business will increase by $5,000 as will the amount representing the investment from Anushka as the owner of the business (capital).
Capital essentially represents how much the owners have invested into the business along with any accumulated retained profits or losses.
